The Cascade Room


Waterfall, Knoydart (18" x 24", oil, 2003)
I took the picture for this during my Knoydart trek of 2002. A cool clear day rapidly heated up.
Along the track I found this idyllic cascade and took the opportunity to cool off.



Deepdale Falls (16" x 20", oil, 1994)
I was unemployed, and attending a job interview in Leeds, when I decided to stay a couple
of extra nights to explore the Dales nearby. It was a hot day, and on the far side of Whernside
I discovered this enchanted waterfall in a grotto beside a quiet lane.



Mallyan Spout (10" x 20", oil, 1994)
This painting was done about the same time as the one above (Deepdale Falls), though it is
based on a photo taken several years before in the Yorkshire Moors.



Lower Falls, Glen Nevis (30" x 20", oil, 1994)
This view point takes a bit of finding - most visitors miss it.
Just a few yards downstream from the bridge, you can get a marvellous couple of pictures
of the two channels, by shooting under the bridge (artistically removed above).
