One of our rarest flowers, the orchid can be found on many remote hillsides, and sometimes a fewer closer quarters. It was many years before I spotted my first orchid, but since then I've found many - particularly in the machair of Harris and the Uists. Here I've brought together a few of the variations I've come across. Sit back and enjoy without the burden of getting your knees wet knealing to see them.
